| A programme of projects has been developed under the banner of the RMIF to help the red meat sector achieve its long-term aims, which are:
- Improved efficiency of supply chains from farm to fork;
- Reducing costs in production, processing and delivery to the consumer;
- Communicating consumer needs more rapidly down the chain, so that the "right" product is always available.
The programme is funded by government and is delivered in partnership with industry bodies and other agencies.
