Stakeholders

RMIF interfaces well with the livestock and meat industry to ensure that the industry has a strong voice in the direction the Forum takes.  The Forum talks directly to the industry and through a committee structure of which there are three.

Steering Group

Chaired by the Forum's Chairman Peter Barr it meets quarterly to advise the on strategy and is made up of individuals from all parts of the supply chain providing the Forum with their own unique expertise.

Stakeholder Group

Chaired by Meurig Raymond of the NFU it meets quarterly.  It is made up of representatives of trade associations, the devolved MLC organisations and agencies that work with the RMIF to deliver the Forum's activities.  It not only provides advice on Forum policy but also assists in communicating the Forum's work to the wider industry.

Management Group

Chaired by the Director of the Forum, Richard Lowe it meets every six weeks.  It is made up of the four key stakeholders of the Forum, Defra, MLC, IGD and NFU.  Its purpose is to oversee the management of the Forum and receives reports on activity progress and budgets /accounts as well as assisting the Forum in any critical decisions to be made.  It also plays a key role in ensuring good coordination between key delivery agencies.
