| | Who we are | | | | Welcome to the Red Meat Industry Forum
RMIF is determined to help the British red meat industry maintain a leading position in the market place.
The Forum was established in June 2001 in the middle of the foot and mouth epidemic to assist livestock farmers and meat processors. The immediate aim was to restore the image and consumption of red meat to improve the performance and profitability of the British meat and livestock sector.
Consumption of red meat is now at the highest level for over a decade and the Forum is currently very proactive in helping all members of the red meat supply chain improve their businesses.
To survive in the current climate of fierce competition and a global market, the industry must adopt a culture of continuous improvement to sustain its position in the market place. Crucial to achieving these industry-wide benefits is the inclusion of the entire supply chain.
